The Accounting Associate will support our client, Partners in Development Foundation, with day-to-day accounting operations. The position will be a professional with high detail-oriented skills, proven dependability and ability to work closely with our client and internal teams to maintain accounts payables, receivables, bank activities; and ensuring general ledger records are accurate, complete and up-to-date. Job Responsibilities and Duties: Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, preparing payment documents, and maintaining organized records. Maintain vendor information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve invoice, approval, or payment discrepancies. Support accounts receivable by preparing invoices, recording payments, monitoring balances, and following up on past-due accounts. Record bank deposits, transfers, checks, petty cash, and other cash transactions accurately and on time. Perform bank, cash, and receivable reconciliations and research any discrepancies. Enter and validate accounting transactions, including journal entries and general ledger entries. Maintain supporting documents and audit-ready files and assist with month-end closing. Assist with expense tracking, budget reports, and other accounting or administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Adaptable and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to support others when needed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, including hands-on experience with AP or AR.Working knowledge of accounting principles, invoice processing, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions. Proficiency in at least two accounting software programs. Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables. Strong attention to detail, organization, and sound judgment, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong research and analytical skills. Clear written and spoken English with professional communication skills. Adaptable and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to support others when needed. Company Overview
