Quality Assurance Tester

Purpose of the Position

The Application Test Specialist for Project Aktiv verifies that the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform meets functional requirements prior to enterprise rollout. The tester executes structured manual test suites, validates core operational workflows (asset tracking, preventive maintenance, work orders, inventory control, and mobile accessibility), identifies defects, and collaborates with Aktiv core team to deliver a bug-free system.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Validate EAM-specific workflows including asset hierarchy creation, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order dispatch/approval, inventory movement, vendor/contract tracking, and field technician mobile app connectivity.
• Report, log, track, prioritize, and re-test software defects using tracking tools (e.g., Jira); work directly with Aktiv core team to assist in root-cause analysis.

Strong understanding of asset management workflows, acute attention to detail, clear written communication, and ability to provide constructive feedback to technical teams.

Technical & System Skills

• Comfort navigating web applications and enterprise software systems.
• Experience working with mobile apps (iOS/Android) in an operational or testing capacity.
• Ability to capture clear screenshots, screen recordings, and system context for bug reports.

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field (equivalent operational experience considered).
