Software Engineer

• Work Location: Taguig - Hybrid
• Schedule : Night Shift - 2X onsite weekly
• Tasks: Write clean, testable, maintainable code following established standards
• Debug software issues using systematic approaches
• Submit appropriate pull requests demonstrating code review understanding
• Create and maintain unit tests for code reliability
• Master core technologies through hands-on practice
• Document key learnings for knowledge sharing
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Participate in team learning initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals
• Participate in Agile development processes
• Achieve departmental goals and timelines
• Perform other duties as assigned Complexity: Design and implement systems involving multiple components, APIs, and data stores
• Make independent technical decisions and implementation choices
• Balance competing priorities including feature delivery, technical debt, quality assurance, and mentoring
• Troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack under time pressure

Adapt to changing products and technologies. Effectively partner, communicate and negotiate with business analyst, development and support groups in order to gather and communicate business requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience demonstrating programming competency

Demonstrated programming through internships, personal projects, bootcamp programs, or academic coursework

Experience with modern development practices including version control and testing Technical/Soft Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern language (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)

• Development Fundamentals: Data structures, algorithms, software design principles
• Version Control: Working knowledge of Git and collaborative workflows
• Database Technologies: SQL databases, schema design, query optimization
• Web Technologies: HTTP, APIs, front-end/back-end architecture
• Testing: Understanding of unit testing concepts and automated testing approaches
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
• Independent and collaborative work in team environments
• Growth mindset with enthusiasm for continuous learning
• Time management and task prioritization skills
