Web Developer

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to support the redevelopment and enhancement of an existing website. The project involves improving the website’s structure, page designs, user experience, wireframes, functionality, responsiveness, SEO foundations, and CMS capabilities based on provided mock-ups and requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Redevelop and enhance the existing Global Seafoods website based on provided mock-ups, wireframes, and detailed requirements.
• Build responsive, user-friendly web pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile while maintaining the existing brand and visual direction.
• Improve website navigation, page structure, content hierarchy, CTAs, and overall user experience.
• Develop and configure website functionality for products, recipes, reviews, FAQs, “Buy Now,” “Where to Buy,” testimonials, and partner content.
• Implement dynamic content and CMS functionality, including product-to-recipe linking and easy content management for the marketing team.
• Develop and maintain store/location functionality, interactive maps, forms, reCAPTCHA, social links, and other site-wide features.
• Apply SEO-friendly website structures, including headings, page organization, internal linking, and other on-page improvements.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize the website for performance, usability, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify technical improvements, provide development recommendations, and ensure requirements are delivered accurately.
• Provide CMS training and handover to the Global Seafoods marketing team for ongoing website management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Web Developer, Full Stack Developer, CMS Developer, or similar role with strong experience developing and enhancing existing website and CMS platforms
• Experience working with Umbraco CMS is highly preferred, particularly in website development, content management, templates/components, and customization of existing websites.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices, with experience converting mock-ups and wireframes into responsive, functional websites.
• Experience working with CMS-driven websites, dynamic content, and content relationships, such as linking products, recipes, and related website content.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, website usability, and performance.
• Familiarity with SEO-friendly web development, including page structure, headings, URLs, metadata, and internal linking.
• Experience with forms, reCAPTCHA, maps/location functionality, APIs, or third-party integrations is an advantage, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, discuss technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
