Shift Schedule: Mid-shift. During the first month, employees are required to work onsite on a night shift schedule (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Manila Time) for training and onboarding.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in C#, Python, Java, and C++, and a proven track record in cloud deployment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems while leveraging GCP services to deliver robust, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Deployment (GCP): Architect, deploy, and manage backend applications on GCP using services such as Cloud Run, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Backend Development: Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and backend systems using C#, Python, Java, and C++.
• System Architecture: Design scalable, distributed systems with cloud-native best practices.
• Security & Performance: Implement secure coding practices, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Integration: Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services seamlessly into fullstack applications.
• Testing & Debugging: Write unit, integration, and performance tests; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• CI/CD & Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Cloud Deployment Manager).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in C#, Python, Java, and C++ with proven backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
• Familiarity with web frameworks (ASP.NET, Django/Flask, Spring Boot).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and API security (JWT, OAuth).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, or Cloud Deployment Manager for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (React, Angular, or Vue) for fullstack collaboration.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
