Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective test planning, execution, automation, and defect management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Test Design & Execution

Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing. Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure completeness, feasibility, and testability. Identify test scenarios, define expected outcomes, and validate application functionality against requirements. Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all supported platforms and environments. Defect & Release Management

Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution. Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes. Participate in release planning, risk assessments, and deployment readiness reviews. Provide quality assurance sign-offs and recommendations for production releases. Test Automation

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for both frontend and backend applications. Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency and reliability. Monitor automation effectiveness and recommend improvements to test coverage and execution. Generate and communicate test execution reports, metrics, and release recommendations. Collaboration & Quality Culture

Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and testing activities. Promote quality best practices and foster a quality-first mindset across development teams. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and team efficiency. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing

Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and team meetings. Stay updated on emerging testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices. Dedicate time to continuous professional development and technical upskilling. Share testing knowledge, automation techniques, and quality assurance best practices with team members. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management processes. Experience with functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing. Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices is an advantage. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with API testing and automated testing frameworks. Knowledge of performance, security, or load testing methodologies. Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent are a plus.
