Job Summary

The Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist helps manage daily financial records, vendor invoices, cash disbursements, and payroll compliance using QuickBooks. Operating in a hybrid setup based in Makati City, this professional ensures accurate financial reporting, alignment with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, and timely coordination of mandatory government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).   • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite at the office in Salcedo Village, Makati City, and 2 days work-from-home).
  • Salary Range: ₱30,000 – 45,000 gross monthly (Commensurate with experience and BIR/QuickBooks expertise).

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & QuickBooks Management

  • Process, verify, and input vendor bills, purchase orders, and expense liquidations into QuickBooks.
  • Conduct regular bank, credit card, and vendor statement ledger reconciliations within the software.
  • Perform three-way matching of invoices, receiving reports, and procurement requests.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV) and handle check, ACH, or corporate online bank disbursements. Philippine Tax & BIR Compliance
  • Compute, file, and remit monthly and quarterly BIR tax returns (e.g., VAT Forms 2550M/Q, Withholding Tax Forms 1601-EQ/1601-C) via eBIRForms or eFPS.
  • Prepare and issue BIR Form 2307 (Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source) to suppliers subject to Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT).
  • Maintain and update the company’s official BIR Books of Accounts (General Journal, General Ledger, Cash Receipts, and Cash Disbursements).
  • Compile and submit the Summary List of Sales and Purchases (SLSP) and the Quarterly Alphalist of Payees (QAP). Government Contributions & Payroll Support
  • Compute, validate, and remit monthly employee and employer-share statutory contributions according to current SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG

  • Reconcile government contribution records against monthly payroll data to ensure zero compliance gaps.
  • Handle employee documentation, loan verifications, and claims processes through government platforms.
  • Assist in generating and filing annual BIR Form 2316 certificates for employees. Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related business field. TESDA accreditation and hands on experience, will also be accepted.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on bookkeeping, accounts payable, and local tax compliance experience.
  • Location & Availability: Ability to commute to Salcedo Village, Makati City for the 3-day onsite requirement, and available on offsite days.
  • Software & Tools: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel; proficient navigation of government transaction portals (My.SSS, Pag-IBIG Virtual Office, PhilHealth EPRS, eBIRForms, eFPS).
  • Technical Knowledge: Philippine tax codes (VAT, EWT) and statutory government deduction frameworks.
  • Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong data entry accuracy, and excellent organizational skills required for hybrid workflows.
