IT Manager - Makati

JOB PURPOSE

The position is primarily responsible in managing the information system and the technology requirements. It is tasked to plan, direct and manage the operation of MIS Department to ensure the development and and implementation of cost-effective Information Technology (IT) systems and efficient IT operations to support current and future business objectives and goals of Union Galvasteel Corporation.JOB SCOPEThe position requires a broad understanding of various facets of Information Technology namely: Management of the operational roadmap of the MIS Department to support Union Galvasteel Corporation. Identifies and plans for the appropriate budget for the software and hardware systems that the group needs. Prepares and implements IT policies (including IT/Cyber Security) for the group. Ensures that the ERP system and IT infrastructure are efficiently running based on the business requirements. Continuous research and evaluation of new technologies that are applicable to the group to be cost and productivity-efficient. Identifies relative training to the MIS Team for continuous skills improvement and personal development. Ensures that the group is compliant with the IT Policies of the Group and the Government’s IT regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts plant and warehouse visits to assess quality systems and do safety observations. Supports and demonstrates ownership of health and safety in his/her own area of responsibility. Supports and shows ownership at all levels of health and safety via involvement, training, and communication. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate is a graduate of Bachelor of Computer Science graduate or any equivalent 4-year degree

With minimum 5 years experience in managing an IT Department serving a group of companies. With minimum 2 years experience in Project Management. Know-how on ERP, IT Infrastructure, IT Systems, IT Tools, IT Security, Business Applications Development, Database Management. Business process know-how on Book to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Production Planning, Plant Maintenance, Materials Management, and Process Integration. Preferred Certifications:IT Network Certification

IT Security Certification

Database Administration Certification

Project Management Certification

Skills and Personality Needed: Ability to understand the business and improve the processes. Ability to determine the IT requirements of the business. Systems: ERP systems, Software Development Life Cycle, System Analysis and Design, Project Management, Oracle dB and Apps, SQL, Routing and Networking, Server Administration (Windows, Linux), Active Directory, DNS, Email Administration, Virtualization, Modelling Language (Unified Modelling Language -UML, Systems Modelling Language -SysML), Business Intelligence and Reporting, Advance Microsoft Office, Ethical Hacking. Critical thinking for systems development and process improvement. Entrepreneurial and innovative leadership. Customer thinking process.
