Software Engineer II

• Metro Manila | Remote Setup

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer II with strong backend development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications. The role focuses on .NET Core, Azure, Microservices, SQL, and AKS, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using C#, .NET Core, Azure, Microservices, SQL, and AKS.
• Translate functional requirements into effective software solutions and business functionality.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and server-side applications following development best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy new features.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, database objects, and integration processes.
• Deploy and manage applications using Azure Web Apps, App Service, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Support application deployment and CI/CD processes using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality, documentation, and development standards.
• Develop solutions using asynchronous, multi-threaded, and event-driven programming.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies and development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of software development experience, preferably with strong .NET experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 5+.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices, and server-side design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Web Apps, App Service, and/or AKS.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and container registries is preferred.
• Proficiency in Git and familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-driven programming.
• Knowledge of React JS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS is a plus.
• Experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance industry is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn new platforms and technologies.

Pay: Php70,000.00 per month
