About the role

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred. At least five (5) years of relevant experience in accounting, financial control, audit, taxation, or financial management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, water treatment, or project-based businesses is an advantage. Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems. Able to interpret financial data and translate it into practical business recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and attention to detail. Willing to work on-site in Calamba City, Laguna.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the company’s complete accounting cycle, including general accounting, billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliation. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, project costs, and overall financial performance. Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, management reports, and variance analyses. Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Review project profitability, margins, operational expenses, and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with BIR requirements, tax filings, statutory obligations, and applicable accounting standards. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, government agencies, and other financial institutions. Review contracts, payment terms, and significant financial commitments from a financial-risk perspective. Identify financial risks and recommend practical corrective or preventive measures. Provide management with reliable financial insights to support pricing, investments, cash management, and strategic business decisions. Supervise, guide, and develop the Accounting and Finance Team. Perform other financial control and advisory functions as may be required by the President.
