About the role

Senior Website Builder role working remotely on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable PHP and Word

Press-based technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable PHP and Word

Press-based technical solutions.

• Design and develop functional prototypes, identify system dependencies, and prepare technical design documentation for WordPress applications and custom PHP solutions.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level PHP and WordPress applications, including custom themes and plugins, integrating with third-party vendors, in-house systems, accounting platforms, and CRM applications.
• Configure and customize WordPress CMS environments to meet business and operational requirements.
• Demonstrate and educate stakeholders and clients on new features, enhancements, and system updates; provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to WordPress and PHP-based applications.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed Agile teams, participate in sprint planning, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Ensure application security, performance optimization, and scalability, including implementation of security best practices specific to WordPress environments.
• Stay updated on developments in PHP, WordPress core updates, cloud hosting platforms, and modern web development tools and technologies.
• Maintain version control using Git and participate in CI/CD deployment processes where applicable.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills, remain self-motivated and effectively handle multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience building WordPress CMS websites using the best & de-facto standard plugins.
• Strong knowledge working with WordPress at a PHP code level.
• Ability to create inbuilt WordPress functions
• Creation of custom post types
• Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
• Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
• Theme/Template integration
• Knowledge of WordPress Network(Multisite) beneficial
• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL and OOP
• Knowledge in optimizing web site for mobile platforms
• Possess expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and other coding modalities.
• Familiar with Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools
• Familiar with SEO and SEM best practices

• Strong communication and/or experience working with designers, marketing teams, senior management, and other project stakeholders
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills
• Personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest trends in UI/UX design and best practices
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
• Must be willing to work on night shift schedule (PST)
