About the role
The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting for a growing global SaaS business. The role will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders based in the Philippines and Australia to improve financial visibility, report on business performance and provide insights that support commercial decision-making. Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance-sheet and cash-flow reporting
- Complete month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Analyse actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods
- Investigate material variances and provide clear commentary to management
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards and supporting analysis for key stakeholders
- Monitor profitability, operating expenses, margins and cash flow
- Support the preparation of board and management reporting packs
- Coordinate annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes
- Maintain financial models and rolling cash-flow forecasts
- Monitor and report on relevant SaaS metrics, including recurring revenue, customer retention, churn and revenue growth
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- At least three years of management accounting or relevant commercial accounting experience
- Sound understanding of month-end accounting, revenue recognition, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using Xero and ERP or financial reporting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial mindset and an interest in understanding business performance
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
