Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Tech Engineering team. In this role, you will design, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans to ensure our software products meet high standards of functionality, performance, security, and usability. You will work closely with software developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to identify bugs early in the development lifecycle and drive continuous quality improvements across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning: Review product requirements, design specifications, and user stories to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Automated & Manual Testing: Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites (UI, API, integration, and regression) while performing manual exploratory testing when needed. Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira), providing clear steps to reproduce and root-cause analysis.CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous feedback and fast release cycles. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers to resolve defects, collaborate with product managers to clarify requirements, and provide release sign-offs. Performance & API Testing: Conduct API testing, cross-browser/cross-device testing, and basic performance or load testing to ensure high system reliability and scalability. Qualifications &

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or similar role in a fast-paced tech environment. Test Automation: Hands-on experience writing automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or JUnit/TestNG.Programming / Scripting: Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.API Testing: Demonstrated experience testing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Rest

Assured. Methodologies & Tools: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycles, test management tools (e.g., Test

Rail, Zephyr), and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Database Skills: Ability to write SQL queries to verify data integrity and validate backend system behavior. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, k6, or Gatling. Basic understanding of security testing practices (e.g., OWASP top 10).
