Network and Field Engineer Support Intern

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Network and Field Engineer Support Intern to join our technical team. In this role, you will gain real-world experience by assisting with the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. You will work closely with our senior engineers and remote support teams to ensure optimal network performance and reliable connectivity across various client and company sites.

Key Responsibilities

Install and Configure Network Equipment: Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at designated client or company locations.

Troubleshoot Network Issues: Actively diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems while in the field.

Perform Site Surveys and Assessments: Evaluate existing physical infrastructure and recommend improvements or upgrades to ensure maximum network efficiency.

Conduct Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain network equipment to mitigate the risk of system failures.

Provide On-Site Technical Support: Respond promptly to service calls, providing direct, hands-on support and remediation for network-related issues.

Coordinate with Remote Support Teams: Collaborate seamlessly with Network Operations Center (NOC) and remote technical teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents.

Document Activities and Findings: Maintain accurate and highly detailed records of all installations, maintenance tasks, repairs, and service reports.

Ensure Compliance with Standards: Strictly follow all company protocols, health and safety guidelines, and industry standards during installations and repair work.

Support Network Upgrades and Expansions: Assist the senior team in deploying new systems, expanding existing network footprints, or migrating services.

Minimum Qualifications (Recommended)

Currently pursuing/has a degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.

Foundational knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, and switching).

Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and work hands-on with hardware.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with remote teams and on-site stakeholders.

Ability to travel locally to various field sites and perform the physical tasks associated with equipment installation.

Pay: Php250.00 per month
