About the role

The Clinical Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing clinical training programs for healthcare professionals within a BPO environment. This role ensures clinical staff are fully trained, compliant, and performance-ready to support payer, provider, utilization management, care management, and clinical support services. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical expertise with training leadership, instructional design, and healthcare compliance knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute clinical training strategies aligned with client requirements, regulatory standards, and business goals
  • Lead onboarding, refresher, upskilling, and remediation training programs for clinical staff
  • Manage and mentor clinical trainers and subject matter experts
  • Curriculum & Content Development
  • Design and maintain training curricula for utilization management, care management, prior authorization, appeals, quality review, and related functions
  • Ensure training materials reflect current CMS, NCQA, URAC, state, and client-specific guidelines
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Quality, Compliance, and Operations teams to update content
  • Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure training programs meet regulatory, accreditation, and audit

requirements

  • Support internal and external audits by providing training documentation and evidence
  • Track training effectiveness and impact on quality scores, productivity, and compliance

Performance Measurement

  • Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness and learner readiness
  • Analyze performance data to identify training gaps and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Operations and Quality teams to drive corrective action plans
  • Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Support client implementations and new program launches with tailored training solutions
  • Participate in client meetings as a training subject matter expert
  • Align training delivery with SLAs and client expectations

Required

Qualifications

Must have active PHRN license

At least 5 years of training experience in Clinical healthcare BPOStrong knowledge of payer operations, utilization management, clinical denials, clinical workflows, etc. Knowledge in Inter

  • Qual, MGC, LCD and NCD guidelines
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
