- Reporting to: Lead Accountant (Australian based)
Remuneration: 75,000-80,000 PHP monthly basic salary plus HMO from Day one for yourself and up to two dependents. Location: This is a 100% Remote or work-from-home (WFH) role, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home. However, you must reside within Greater Metro Manila to attend the team Christmas party and other social events, etc. Working hours: Dayshift. 6.30am to 3.30pm PHT (Philippines time). Nature of the Role: The nature of the role is to support the Lead Accountant to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and compliant statutory/tax submissions across a multi-entity group, in Australia. The Senior Accountant will own day-to-day General Ledger (GL), selected Account Payable (AP) and Account Receivable (AR) activities, revenue reconciliations, and month-end close. Thus, you will partner with the Lead Accountant help the business understand it’s financial performance and improve business processes to enable that. Responsibilities: Month-end close GL: Prepare/post journals (accruals, prepayments, reclasses), maintain fixed asset register, and complete bank reconciliations for all assigned entities; investigate and clear unreconciled items within business service level agreement (SLA). Complete balance sheet reconciliations; produce monthly P&L and Balance Sheet and variance commentary for review. Revenue AR: Reconcile revenue from source systems to the general ledger. Support invoicing, cash allocation, ageing review, and escalation of collection risks.AP Cash: Assist AP Specialist with reconciliations. Tax compliance (Australian): Have a basic working knowledge or be prepared to learn how to prepare BAS/IAS workpapers (GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT). Intercompany billing: Process intercompany recharges, ensure all intercompany balances are accurate across the group. Skills and Experience Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. To be able to communicate with native English speakers at pace. Confident stakeholder communication.A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an accounting role with the end-to-end accounting function including but not limited to GL/AR/AP.At least two years of experience working with a Western business (ideally Australian, New Zealand, UK or US-based). Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software. Advanced MS Excel skills (lookups, pivots). Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy. Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills. Accounting Degree. CPA/CA in progress or completed is a plus. Cultural Fit: Ability to work across cultures with native English speakers.A proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding, but rewarding environment.
