Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure high-quality database operations by implementing testing, monitoring, and maintenance processes. Identify, diagnose, and resolve database issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on operations. Explore and implement database technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and scalability. Make informed decisions regarding database architecture, performance tuning, and security measures to optimize system efficiency. Consider scalability and compliance requirements when designing and managing database solutions. Identify potential risks in database operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring data integrity and security. Contribute to initiatives to improve database infrastructure, ensuring it supports current and future business needs effectively. Stay updated with the latest database trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions align with application requirements and business goals. Clearly articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams. Work Experience:3 years to 6 years of experience in production Database Administration or DBSRE roles.orking experience managing relational datastores, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing indexes. Direct experience participating independently in on-call rotations, diagnosing live database locks/outages, and performing root cause analysis. Practical exposure to multi-region replication, high availability (HA) failover setups, and automated disaster recovery testing. Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SQL, execution plans, indexing strategies, and database schema modeling; working knowledge of Linux/Unix administration; solid understanding of cloud database architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP); working knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash)

Operational Rigor: Competent in configuring database monitoring dashboards and alert thresholds; skilled in executing zero-downtime database maintenance; disciplined change management. Behavioral Competencies: Strong analytical problem-solving skills; clear verbal and written communication; ability to explain database constraints to software developers; proactive and motivated to learn digital ways of working.
