About the role
- Video Editor — Short-Form Focus (+ Graphics)
- Podcast & Coaching Content for Real Estate Coaching BrandsType: Full-time, Remote
About the Role
We're building the content team behind a group of real estate coaches — leaders who mentor and recruit agents into their organizations. Every week they record podcasts and coaching calls. Your job is to turn those recordings into a steady stream of short-form video that makes their audience stop scrolling and pay attention. The audience matters here. These aren't videos for homebuyers. They're for working real estate agents deciding who's worth learning from. That means the value has to be visible in the first three seconds, and the person on screen has to come across as someone who knows what they're talking about. One thing to know before you apply: we are not looking for heavily produced content. Our client's view is that most short-form is over-edited right now, and the thing that gets ignored is the message. What we want is someone who can listen to a 60-minute coaching call, find the moment that's actually worth hearing, and cut it cleanly so it lands. Effects are a tool, not the point. You'll start with two coaching brands and grow into more as we scale. We're hiring for the person who becomes the lead editor across the portfolio, not for a one-project freelancer. What You'll Own
- Short-form (the core of the role)10 short-form edits per week — 5 per brand — for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Cut from weekly podcast episodes and coaching call recordings
- Captions, on-screen text, and pacing that hold attention without burying the message
- Long-form2 YouTube edits per week — 1 per brand (volume to be confirmed — see note below)
- Structuring for retention: cold opens, clean pacing, chapters where useful
Graphics
Thumbnails for YouTube
Supporting brand assets and motion graphics as needed
Occasional
Faith-based content for one client's Bible study channel
Source material is mostly recorded remotely by the coaches, with occasional on-location footage filmed by the client while travelling with them. What We're Looking For
Required2+ years editing short-form video cut from long-form source — podcasts, talking-head recordings, webinars, coaching calls
A portfolio that shows clip selection judgement: the ability to find the moment that earns the watch. This matters more to us than effects reels. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut
Graphic capability in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite — thumbnails, carousels, simple brand assets
AI-assisted workflow fluency. Transcript-based editing, auto-captioning, clip identification — Descript, Opus Clip, Premiere Text-Based Editing or equivalent. We want these used to increase throughput, not to produce templated output that looks like everyone else's. Excellent written English for captions and on-screen text
- Reliable equipment, backup internet, and backup power
- Comfortable with time tracking — output-based, not daily micromanagement
- Available for the agreed daily overlap with the client's timezone
Preferred
- Real estate, coaching, education, or personal-brand clients
- Long-form YouTube structuring and retention pacing
- Motion graphics and animated captions
- Comfort working with faith-based content
- Experience editing for multiple brands at once with distinct visual identities
Non-negotiable
- Full-time availability with no competing full-time role
- Willing to complete a paid test edit from supplied raw footage before an offer is made
- Long-term intent. We're hiring for years, not for a project. Success Looks Like

- Structured 8-week onboarding so expectations are set week by week
