Product Engineer

The Product Engineer owns and delivers complete product modules using AI-assisted tools from discovery and requirements analysis through development, testing, release, and post-release support. The role combines Business Analysis, Software Engineering, and Quality Engineering, with strong capability in at least one of these areas. The Product Engineer is accountable for the quality and reliability of delivered work, makes sound technical and product decisions within the assigned scope, identifies risks and dependencies early, mentors junior team members, and may lead a small Delivery Team or major initiative. Key Responsibilities: Own complete modules or subsystems from discovery to release. Translate complex business requirements into clear user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and technical deliverables. Use AI-assisted tools to design and develop scalable frontend and backend solutions, APIs, databases, and system integrations. Apply and improve guardrails for AI-assisted delivery (review rules, test gates, security checks). Create and execute appropriate test strategies, automation, regression, and exploratory testing. Identify technical risks, dependencies, and cross-module impacts before implementation. Design the architecture of assigned modules and contribute to tech stack decisions. Maintain technical and product documentation, including key decisions and trade-offs. Review the work of peers and mentor junior team members. Lead a small Delivery Team or major product initiative when assigned. Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery speed while maintaining quality and security. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience delivering software features or modules end to end. Working capability across Business Analysis, Software Engineering, and Quality Engineering, with strong proficiency in at least one area. Experience in using Claude, Claude Code, Claude Design, Playwright or other similar tools in delivering working software. Experience with frontend and backend development, REST APIs, databases, CI/CD, and automated testing. Strong problem-solving, requirements analysis, and technical decision-making skills. Ability to communicate technical and product decisions clearly to stakeholders. Experience mentoring developers or leading a small technical team is an advantage.
