General Accountant

Job description: Cavella Philippines is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage and support the company’s day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting the overall financial management of the company and its franchising operations.JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records
• Prepare and review journal entries,

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
• Monitor and record daily financial transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure timely and accurate BIR tax filings and statutory compliance
• Monitor and reconcile government contributions and other statutory

requirements

• Review invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other supporting documents
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Monitor accounting records related to franchising operations
• Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting and financial concerns
• Assist with internal and external audit

requirements

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and proper organization of financial records
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is required
• At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Knowledgeable in BIR regulations, taxation, and statutory compliance
• Experience in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Able to handle confidential financial information
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in franchising operations is an advantage
