Layout Artist

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Layout Artist to join out team in Davao City, Davao del Sur on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and functional layouts that bring our design concepts to life. As a Layout Artist, you will play a crucial part in translating creative briefs into polished, print-ready and digital designs that effectively communicate our clients' messages and enhance our brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute layouts for various design projects including brochures, advertisements, packaging, web graphics and digital media
• Collaborate with designers, creative directors and clients to understand project requirements, objectives and target audiences
• Arrange text, images, graphics and other visual elements in a coherent and aesthetically pleasing manner
• Ensure consistent brand identity and adherence to design guidelines across all layout projects
• Prepare artwork and files for print production, including color separation, file optimization and technical specifications
• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and revise layouts to meet project specifications and client expectations
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting established deadlines
• Stay updated with current design trends, software tools and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Layout Artist or similar graphic design role, ideally with 2–5 years in a professional design environment
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Coreldraw or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of layout principles, typography, color theory and visual hierarchy
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce pixel-perfect designs
• Solid knowledge of print production processes and technical requirements for both print and digital formats
• Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams and communicate effectively with clients
• Time management skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for design aesthetics
• Portfolio demonstrating a range of layout work across various media and industries
• Preferred: Experience with web design, user interface (UI) design or motion graphics
