Video Editor

Anime News Network is seeking a talented Video Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Video Editor you will transform unique Japanese culture-focused footage into a viral, short-form video for YouTube, X, Instagram, and TikTok. The video editor will work closely with ANN's video producer and executive editor to create five weekly videos, ranging from 00:30 to 02:00, to reach our audience of over 2.8 million followers across social media. The editor will create and upload videos to ANN's social media channels in accordance with the video production calendar, as well as brainstorm captions to heighten a video's success. This full-time position is fully remote offering you the opportunity to contribute to the success of the world's leading anime media website from the comfort of your own home with a flexible schedule. We primarily create short-form videos for Social Media, as well as the occasional long-form piece for YouTube. Qualifications

• Expertise using Adobe suite, Final Cut Pro, and/or Da Vinci
• Experience transforming professional footage into short-form ads and native content tailored for various web and social platforms
• Creating edits that include clean transitions, quick cuts, and facilitate storytelling
• Familiarity with the Anime News Network website and content, including current video edits
• A robust portfolio of similar-styled short-form video edits for review
• Ability to collaborate with members of ANN's marketing team to deliver enticing ads for clients
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met
• Cut, trim, and organize footage, adding music, sound effects, motion graphics, and other elements to enhance videos
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media and video content
• Create high-quality motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video content
• Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and style across all platforms
• Review social media-related tips and tricks documents to evolve edits with changing platform algorithms
• Can change course as needed for breaking news stories
