Quality Assurance Specialist (Remote, US Night Shift)

Finch Harbor is a managed services business. We hire Filipino professionals as dedicated team members who work with our American small business clients. This role is with one of those clients, a US product team. We are looking for a QA professional who doesn't just test software, someone who feels it. We need someone with a natural intuition for finding problems, a genuine passion for quality, and a mindset of ownership that treats the product as if it were their own. This is not a role for someone who simply follows test scripts. It is for someone who knows how to think like a user, a tester, an engineer and a skeptic all at once, and who takes real pride in catching the defects everyone else walks past. Hours and engagement

Full time, Monday to Friday, on US business hours. That is roughly 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Philippine time. The engagement runs 9 to 12 months. Pay is USD 12.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

Design, execute and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts across web, mobile and backend systems. Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing cycles. Proactively identify edge cases, usability issues and defects that go beyond the obvious. Document defects clearly, so a developer can reproduce and resolve them without coming back to ask what you meant. Collaborate with developers, product managers and designers through the sprint and release cycle. Own the testing process end to end for your assigned features.

About you

Two of these are the client's requirements and we hold to them: the four years, and the bachelor's degree.4+ years of proven experience in QA or software testing. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Test

Rail or Zephyr. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices. Excellent written English. You should be able to write defect reports that a developer can act on without needing to come back and ask what you meant. Clear spoken English and the ability to work with a US based product team during sprint calls. Your own laptop, stable internet, and a quiet place to work. Willingness to complete a background check at the offer stage. Helpful but not required: test automation with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright; API testing with Postman; startup experience.
