Developer - Progress OpenEdge (WFH)

About the Position

Our client is a highly regarded and professional software development & implementation business that has developed a unique methodology and approach to customer facing systems for the Automotive, Marine and Motorcycle Retail markets both in Australia and New Zealand. Their Development Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Progress Open

• Edge Developer to join the team. About the role
• Develop new and modify existing functionality using Progress Open
• Edge. Perform 3rd level support (analysis, triage)
• Develop and update technical documentation and test scripts. Update project and task status in JIRAParticipate in all phases of the SDLC
• Ensure both internal and external projects are delivered in a timely manner
• Actively work on reducing the number of reported software defects
• Participate in various test phases (unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing)
• Liaise with development coordinator, team leader, release coordinator, business analysts, project manager, testing, documentation, and support teams
• Liaise with customers and third parties when required
• Participate in and contribute to team meetings
• Present project and progress status to team leader, project coordinator and management
• Accurate time keeping using Revolution’s internal time tracking attendance systems
• Attend Change Advisory Board meetings when required

Skills and experience

• Essential Skills: University IT Qualification3 years' minimum experience in developing software in Progress Open
• Edge (v10 or better)
• Exposure to multi-tier application architecture and Open

Edge Application Servers

Experience in Collaborative Projects

Proficient in the use of MS Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to translate complex technical information into software with a great User Experience. Organized and attention to detail. An effective communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders to achieve business goals. Self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision and the ability to independently research processes. Great in time management and prioritizing to work toward a fixed deadline
