As a senior-level executive, the Head of IT sets the overall direction for technology through strategic planning and execution. Provides leadership, planning and management for all areas of information and communications technology strategy, development and implementation.IT STRATEGYServes as the horizontal solution provider across all departments of the enterprise (internal) and its clientele (external)

• Align IT objectives and programs to enterprise objectives and strategies
• Define, update, and implement IT Strategy (from short-term to a 5-year horizon)
• Manage Technology across the enterprise
• Align the IT team with enterprise business roadmap
• Define metrics based on overall business objectives
• IT SERVICEAcquire software, hardware and utilities to provide quality of service to internal and external clients
• Establish strategic service provider partnerships
• Align IT risk management with enterprise wide risk management framework
• Plan and manage strategic IT initiatives and platform portfolio
• Author IT governance compliant with global best practices and standards

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENTOverseeing the development and refinement of an SDLC, application standards, procedures, templates and tools for system and software development and maintenance

Plan and manage the resources required to provide pre to post-production support, i.e. evaluating and prioritizing enhancements of systems in production, plan and manage the testing and rollout of new releases

Ensure projects are align with business strategy

SYSTEMS INTEGRATIONWorks with product owners in the design of new products or services to be able to provide the most efficient and cost-effective technology solution to support the product or service (i.e., software, hardware, network connectivity, telecommunications, utilities)

Presents various options to product owners and operations personnel on how to meet specific product/service or processing requirement using existing system capabilities

• Provides system quality assurance by ensuring that all deployed systems meet the agreed IT standard
• QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDBachelor degree in a reputable university or college (computer science, information management, engineering or business)

At least 15 years of experience in the field of Information Technology services with an in-depth technology and process improvement on “all” of the following: hardware, network, data center management, information systems; analysis, design & development; finance, business and accounting background. • At least 10 years of experience in strategic planning, process re-engineering and implementation of applications development projects
• Prior experience managing a large, decentralized staff
• Demonstrated legacy and emerging technology experience
• Proven Influencing skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities
• Hands on experience with IT systems conversions
• Experience within a large and complex matrix organization
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performance teams with strong accountability standards
• Experience with consolidating data centers and disaster recovery
