About the Team

The team is responsible for overseeing firm wide project support, operational business analytics, process design and quality assurance as well as operations research focusing on topics including operating scale, control and emerging operating platforms. Manila Innovations Team aims to deliver business solutions through software development, process automation and business intelligence projects to the Operations team. Operations is responsible for supporting the various trading, investment and reporting activities of the firm. The core mission of the teams within Operations is to establish scalable investment workflows, ensure a controlled operating environment and deliver high-quality client service to both internal and external business relationships. In addition to supporting primary investment related activities, the groups assist in the design and implementation of firm-wide projects, operational due diligence, counterparty management and client-related activities. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual processing. Support data transformation and analysis using pandas and SQL.Develop reusable automation components for data extraction, transformation, validation, and report generation. Analyze existing reporting workflows to identify automation opportunities and process improvements. Develop, test, and maintain high quality Tools using Python, VBA or related language

• Understand and work with APIs, including integrating data from internal and external systems
• Maintaining and debugging existing tools / codes as required

Follow established SDLC practices including documentation, testing, and version control. Assist in preparing solutions for production handover to enterprise teams when applicable. Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance requirements appropriate for financial services environments. Be on-top of project’s progress through regular cadence and overseeing the project life cycle from planning until its completion, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals, while adhering with the timelines. Ensure all necessary project documentation is available and compliant with company practices and standards. Any related process as required by the team and the organization. Qualification: Foundational programming skills in Python

• Basic understanding of:SQL and relational databases (preferable Postgre

• Object-oriented programming principles
• Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)Experience in using Git and Pandas Library
• Experience in providing business solutions through project automation and streamlining initiatives

Exposure to basic development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts. Understanding of data architecture concepts and foundational data engineering principles. Good grasps of basic to intermediate functions in MS Office applications

Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn in a fast-paced client-support environment.A team player and knows how to work with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and metrics. Well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and manage and keep track of various deadlines

• Ability to work well with team mates effectively without supervision and deliver high quality output
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and keep pace with technical and operational innovation
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing desktop applications using Python GUI frameworks (e.g. Tkinter, PyQt, or similar)

Exposure to .NET environments and understanding of enterprise production standards. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins. Basic experience working with AWS services. Education and ExperienceBA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.2+ years’ experience designing, building, and maintaining automation tools is preferred

A Bachelor's/College Degree in Financial Management, Economics, Accounting or other related business course would be an advantage. Experience working with APIs for data integration and automation

At least 2 to 3 years’ experience handling Financial Information or Investment Reports is a plus. Understanding of data architecture concepts and foundational data engineering principles. Project-based employment
