STAFF NURSE

The primary role of a nurse is to be a caregiver for patients by managing physical needs, preventing illness, and treating health conditions. Nurses must observe and monitor the patient and record any relevant information to aid in treatment decision-making processes. Key responsibilities

Perform thorough physical examinations and assessments of health needs, including evaluation of vital signs and identification of physical abnormalities or health concerns

Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, social workers, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, preferences, and current condition, including short- and long-term health goals

Provide direct hands-on care for patients suffering from injuries, chronic illnesses, or recovery from surgery, including pain management and assistance with daily living activities

• Administer medications safely, initiate IV infusions, and follow correct protocols for storing drugs, particularly controlled substances
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient health records, treatments, prescriptions, and progress

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the patient care environment to prevent the spread of infections and adhere to infection control protocols
• Prepare patient rooms for care, ensure all necessary equipment is available and sterile, and regularly check and maintain medical equipment
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families, addressing mental health needs and creating a compassionate environment
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

About you

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Current nursing license
• Basic Nursing skills
• Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
