About the role
I. Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
Collect, review, and verify the validity and legality of all incoming invoices, subcontractor progress billing vouchers, and capital construction payment profiles before disbursements are made
Prepare and issue commercial invoices. Prepare and issue Official Receipts (OR) upon receiving payments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS). Manage accounts payable (AP) for subcontractors, suppliers, and accounts receivable (AR) based on project milestones/acceptance dossiers. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures; prepare financial statements for the Board of Directors. Systematically organize and securely archive all physical and digital source documents, import-export paperwork, and payroll records to ensure readiness for future BIR tax audits.2. Tax Compliance Review & BIR Relations
Coordinate with the third-party accounting service to reconcile, review, and verify all statutory tax returns (BIR Forms) within legal deadlines, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and fully matched with internal books, including VAT, Withholding Taxes (Expanded & Final), Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and Documentary Stamp Tax (DST). Strictly control the calculation and timeline of DST settlements processed by the service provider for loan agreements and supply contracts to prevent late-filing penalties. Assess tax-saving methods prior to official sign-off. Act as the primary liaison and internal expert to work with the service provider during Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audits, official government assessments, or when resolving "Open Cases."II.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent. Certified Public Accountant (CPA Philippines) is a strong advantage. Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in accounting, with a preferred background in EPC, Construction, or Energy projects in the Philippines. Tax Expertise: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Philippine tax laws (NIRC, TRAIN Law), BIR electronic systems (eFPS, eBIRForms), and specific taxes like DST and Withholding Tax. Software: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced MS Excel
Languages: Fluent in English (both written and verbal) for professional reporting and communication with local authorities. Working hours:- Monday to Friday: 9am – 6pm onsite/office based- Saturday: 9am-6pm Work From Home. Contact: Ms. Trang – trang.dt@ipcenc.com.vn
