Qualification

Required Qualifications: Technical expertise: You have strong working knowledge of GAAP and the practical experience to apply it effectively. You've worked through enough situations that you can anticipate issues, adapt to changes, and handle the unexpected confidently. Mainstream ERP experience will be very helpful. Proficiency working within advanced workbooks (Excel, Google, Smartsheets), necessary. Ability to build advanced workbooks in those applications is desirable. Minimum five (5) years experience required. Relevant experience: Background in nonprofit or cost/job accounting is valuable. Experience with tech or software companies is a plus. Most importantly, you've "seen it all" in prior roles and can bring that breadth of experience to a rapidly evolving organization. Pre-offer testing: As part of the screening process, candidates who advance will be asked to complete a paid skill assessment to determine accounting acumen and technical skills. What Makes You Successful in This Role

Curiosity and critical thinking. When something doesn't look right, you investigate. You research answers independently and know when to escalate questions that need team input. Accuracy. Your work is detail-oriented and reliable. You build systems that catch errors before they become problems. Ownership and independence. Working asynchronously across time zones, you take pride in your work and don't need constant oversight. You're self-directed and proactive. Communication and deadline management. You keep the team informed, meet deadlines consistently, and communicate clearly about priorities and progress. You are comfortable sharing difficult information in a tactful way. Pragmatic judgment. You're willing to handle tasks outside your core role when it makes sense, but you're also comfortable having conversations about whether something is the best use of your time and skills. Enjoying what you do. We work in a rapidly changing industry in a startup environment. Things get hectic. Enjoying your work and having a sense of humor makes the frustrating days easier to navigate.
