Senior Accountant / Accounting Associate (US Clients – Remote)

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant / Accounting Associate will support U.S.-based clients with a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a U.S. team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with U.S. companies and gain exposure to international accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Maintain accurate accounting records in cloud accounting systems
• Work closely with U.S. managers and clients to resolve accounting issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–6+ years of accounting experience (BPO or outsourcing experience preferred)
• Experience supporting U.S. clients or U.S. accounting standards is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or other accounting systems preferred
• Advanced Excel skills. At a minimum the ability to use formulas such as xlookup, vlookup, index match, sumifs, pivot tables, etc
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience in U.S. GAAP accounting
• Experience in outsourced accounting or BPO environment
