About the role

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to join our team at Intellyx IT Solutions in Malabon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive prompt, effective technical assistance and support. As an IT Support specialist, you will be the frontline of our technical services, providing expert help to users experiencing technology issues and contributing to the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure. This role is essential to maintaining client satisfaction and supporting the overall success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users via telephone, email and remote access tools
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Install, configure and maintain computer systems, peripherals and software applications
• Create and maintain documentation of support tickets and technical issues for knowledge management
• Perform regular system updates, patches and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security
• Assist with user account management, password resets and access permissions
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on software and hardware usage
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential IT issues
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff when necessary
• Support IT infrastructure upgrades and deployment of new technologies

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in IT support or technical fields is advantageous
• Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk or technical support roles
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems
• Proficiency with ticketing systems and IT service management software
• Understanding of networking basics, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCPExperience with remote support tools and remote access software
• Knowledge of common software applications and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
• Customer service orientation with a commitment to user satisfaction
• Ability to manage multiple support requests and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Patience, professionalism and a positive attitude when dealing with technical issues
• Experience with IT security best practices and data protection
