Software QA Tester

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester supports the marketing team to ensure that a new product in development (software) as well as the final product itself is error-free and meets standards for operating and usage. He/She also ensures that released products are performing as they should.

Responsibilities

• Perform cross browser testing and cross-platform testing.
• Estimate testing efforts based on requirements and create test cases
• Log and track defects into completion
• Provide accurate status report
• Perform regression testing, exploratory testing and adhoc testing
• Perform User Acceptance testing
• Provide solutions/strategies to improve the testing process

Minimum Qualifications

• College graduate preferably in Information Technology or any computer-related degree
• Has a deep understanding of agile development cycle
• Has experience in using defect tracking tools
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development process
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
• Knowledge in automation testing is a plus
