Systems Engineer – Modern Work & Hybrid Cloud

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer with genuine cloud and infrastructure experience to join our offshore team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on infrastructure, cloud, security, automation and technology improvement. You’ll own Work Requests and Changes, handle infrastructure-level escalations, and work closely with the technical team on automation and improving how systems are managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Work Requests & Changes queue, including: Provisioning
• VM, server and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure
• Identity and SSO projects

Security hardening

Migrations

• Administer Azure, including virtual desktops, networking and storage
• Manage on-premises servers
• Work with backup and data security platforms, including Ave
• Point, Data Security Essentials and Archive
• Receive and resolve infrastructure-level escalations from the Systems Support Analyst
• Work with the technical team on alert tuning and automation, starting with Security and Access self-service
• Administer Microsoft Defender, including endpoint hardening and response actions beyond NOC triage
• Work with Microsoft Purview for data loss prevention, information protection and compliance controls

Support the enablement and administration of AI tools such as Claude, Slack and Copilot, including readiness configuration, licensing, governance and practical how-to knowledge

Contribute to client-facing security and technology posture reviews and reports, including Technology Assessments, IT Summary Reports and Cybersecurity Risk Assessments

• About You3–5 years of Systems Engineering experience
• Genuine hands-on cloud and infrastructure experience
• Experience with Azure administration
• Experience with on-premises server administration
• Experience with infrastructure, identity, security and migrations

Experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview

• Experience with automation and/or a strong interest in improving and automating processes
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Able to take ownership of work and contribute to technology improvements
• Salesforce experience is desirable but not essential. The Right Mindset
