Power BI Developer(Healthcare)

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with a healthcare background to work directly with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data visualization solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, ETL, databases, and data quality, combined with practical experience working with healthcare data, reporting, or analytics. The ideal candidate can understand healthcare datasets and business requirements and translate them into secure, accurate, and interactive dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Requirements Management

Work directly with healthcare clients and internal teams to gather, clarify, and document business and reporting requirements. Translate healthcare business requirements into effective data models, dashboards, and visualization solutions. Understand healthcare data elements and reporting requirements to ensure dashboards provide relevant and actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the development and implementation lifecycle. Data Modeling & ETLDesign and develop data models to support healthcare reporting and analytics requirements. Build ETL processes to ingest and transform healthcare data from multiple sources. Analyze client datasets and ensure healthcare data elements are properly mapped and structured. Work with databases and data sources to support reliable and scalable reporting solutions. Power BI Development

Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with healthcare business needs. Develop and optimize Power BI solutions using Power Query and DAX.Deploy dashboards and reports to Power BI Service. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and appropriate dataset access controls. Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability. Data Quality & Security

Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of healthcare data. Ensure appropriate security controls are applied to datasets and reports. Identify and resolve data quality issues that may impact reporting accuracy. Apply appropriate handling and security practices when working with sensitive healthcare information. Documentation & Data Governance

Document solution architecture, data quality checks, data lineage, and development processes. Maintain technical documentation for data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Follow established data governance, security, and development standards. Qualifications3+ years of experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field. Prior experience working in a healthcare, healthcare technology, healthcare analytics, healthcare operations, or healthcare reporting environment is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Proficiency in Power Query and DAX.Experience deploying Power BI dashboards and reports to Power BI Service. Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS). Strong knowledge of database design principles. Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL.Experience with data modeling and ETL processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand healthcare datasets and translate them into business insights. Experience with ADF, AWS Glue, and/or SSIS.Key Skills & Competencies
