About the role
ROYCE Chocolate USA is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support its US corporate operations. This is an opportunity to bring your bookkeeping experience to the business behind a premium Japanese chocolate brand with a US presence spanning retail boutiques, e-commerce, and gifting. You should have at least 3 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Accountant version, and be ready to step into an established bookkeeping environment with minimal ramp-up. Experience supporting US-based companies is highly preferred. This is a hybrid, night-shift position, working 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM Philippine Time during U.S. Daylight Saving Time, with the workweek split between working from home and working from the office. You will be employed by Qore Resource Solutions in the Philippines and assigned to support ROYCE' Chocolate USA as part of the client's team.

Today, ROYCE' Chocolate USA brings the brand's Hokkaido-origin confections to US customers through retail boutiques, e-commerce, and gifting. Its range includes chocolates, cookies, wafers, seasonal collections, and gift assortments, with a strong emphasis on product quality, presentation, and Japanese heritage.
Key responsibilities
Maintain general ledger accounts and record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and journal entries. Reconcile bank accounts, employee credit cards, and merchant accounts such as Stripe and PayPal on a weekly and monthly basis. Track and maintain inventory levels, valuations, adjustments, and reconciliations with sales channels. Process accounts payable, including invoice coding and vendor communications. Prepare payment runs through banking institutions for review and final approval by the client's designated approval authority. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, monitoring incoming payments, and professional collections follow-up. Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and COGS reporting to provide visibility into business performance and operating margins. Compile sales data by location and provide the required information to the company's external CPA firm for monthly sales-tax payments. Collaborate with external CPAs or tax advisors during year-end tax preparation and financial reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Bookkeeper certification is an advantage. At least 3 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience. Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis is required. Demonstrated experience supporting a multi-location business, including tracking and reconciling sales activity across locations, is required. Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Accountant version is required, with the ability to work confidently in the system and perform the core responsibilities of the role with minimal ramp-up. Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank/credit-card/merchant-account reconciliations, internal controls, and P&L preparation. Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods, including FIFO and weighted average. Strong understanding of GAAP as it applies to the bookkeeping responsibilities of the role. Familiarity with banking payment portals and proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and Zoom. Experience preparing accurate location-level sales data for sales-tax support and external CPA reporting. Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently and asynchronously with a remotely based client team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and discretion when handling financial information. Highly Preferred Experience
