Position: Brand Experience Art Director
Role Overview
The Brand Experience Art Director leads creative strategy, visual identity, and spatial design for live events, hybrid environments, and integrated campaigns. Bridging brand strategy with spatial storytelling, this role focuses on high-level direction, concept pitching, and team collaboration. You will drive the visual vision for live events, flagship activations, pop-ups, and multi-channel campaigns—presenting concepts to clients and partners, and guiding execution from initial deck through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Pitching: Develop creative direction and pitch narratives aligned with client objectives. Collaborate on visual decks for competitive RFPs and present concepts to clients and brand partners.
Art Direction & Brand Fidelity: Maintain visual consistency, high production value, and impactful storytelling across event touchpoints. Translate brand guidelines, positioning, and messaging into 3D stage environments, scenic builds, and environmental graphics.
Concept & Asset Approval: Create and refine 3D spatial renders, storyboards, floor plans, shot lists, and style guides. Direct visual ideation, scriptwriting, and copywriting to communicate core messages clearly.
Multi-Channel Management: Support visual asset creation across print, digital, motion graphics, and live event environments.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with internal production, account, and strategy teams alongside external fabricators, lighting designers, and technical AV vendors. Mentor junior designers, assist with production workflows, and participate in internal creative workshops.
On-Site Execution: Direct scenic styling, lighting focus, graphic placement, and spatial flow to ensure final event execution matches the approved vision.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 2–3 years of art direction or mid-level visual design experience in live events, experiential agencies, or brand design studios, with experience contributing to pitches and client collateral.
Presentation & Strategy: Strong visual storytelling and communication skills, with confidence presenting concepts to clients and brand partners.
Software & Tooling: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, presentation software (Keynote, Google Slides), and functional working knowledge of 3D spatial tools (Sketch
Up, Vectorworks, Cinema 4D, or Blender) is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of large-format print, scenic fabrication basics, spatial flow, interactive tech, and stage lighting dynamics.
Portfolio: Demonstrates strategic event pitch decks, client presentation materials, 3D spatial renders, integrated campaign assets, and live brand activations.
