School Nurse

Job Summary: The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students and school personnel. The nurse provides basic healthcare services, health education, and emergency care while ensuring compliance with school health policies and government regulations. Key Responsibilities: Provide first aid and immediate medical care to students and staff. Monitor and manage students’ health conditions and medical records. Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed. Conduct health screenings and assist in vaccination programs. Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention. Maintain accurate health records and prepare health reports. Coordinate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers regarding student health concerns. Ensure the school clinic is properly stocked with medical supplies and equipment. Assist in implementing health and safety programs within the school. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid professional license. At least 1–2 years of clinical or school nursing experience is an advantage. Knowledge of child health care and emergency procedures. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, organized, and responsible. Preferred Skills: Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), or CPR.Experience working with children or in an educational institution.
