Qualifications

Experience3-5 years of dedicated experience in Australian SMSF administration or accounting

Software Expertise

• Mandatory strong hands-on experience using BGL Simple Fund 360Preferred Software
• Prior experience using Class Super is a distinct advantage but is not essential

Technical Knowledge

• Solid understanding of the SIS Act, relevant regulations, and the Australian tax compliance framework
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

• High level of integrity and professional accountability
• Meticulous approach to accuracy, reconciliation, data integrity, and file organization
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• sComfort working in a purely backend, support-focused role that assists the SMSF Manager rather than handles client management or relationships
• Availability to commence as soon as possible

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the SMSF Manager to ensure the assigned portfolio remains compliant and up to date

Process and reconcile daily bank data feeds, broker data, and wrap platform feeds within BGL Simple Fund 360Prepare draft annual financial statements, member statements, and trustee minutes for the SMSF Manager's review and presentation to clients

• Draft SMSF Annual Returns (SARs) and flag Transfer Balance Cap (TBC) issues or other compliance anomalies to the SMSF Manager
• Assemble comprehensive, audit-ready electronic workpapers and assist the SMSF Manager in addressing auditor queries
• Maintain internal checklists and tracking systems to ensure all compliance deadlines are met
