Junior Accountant I Work from home

We are looking for a motivated and high-potential Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is ideal for a recent Accounting or Accountancy graduate, or someone at the very beginning of their accounting career who is looking for an opportunity to learn, develop and build strong foundations in Australian accounting and taxation. Previous accounting experience is not essential. What is most important to us is your potential, attention to detail, willingness to learn and commitment to developing your accounting career.

responsibilities

• Preparation of company, trust and partnership financial statements
• Preparation of tax returns (individual, partnership, company and trust)
• Reconcile Accounts (banks, loan, other PL and BS accounts etc)
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Process payroll and superannuation

GST Reconciliation

• Prepare IAS and BAS and payroll tax
• Communication with clients to gather and follow up on the needed information
• Perform other tasks as requested or required

What We’re Looking For

• We will particularly value candidates who can demonstrate:A degree in Accounting, Accountancy or a related discipline
• Strong university results
• Latin honours or other academic achievements are highly regarded
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• A willingness to ask questions, take feedback and continually improve
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career in Australian accounting and taxation
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
