About the Role

We are looking for a Clinical Research Associate – Maternal & Women’s Health to support a U.S.-based clinical research study. This role is suited for a clinical research professional with a strong background in midwifery, maternal health, obstetrics, or women's health. You will contribute to clinical research activities, clinical data collection, study documentation, and implementation of research protocols while applying your hands-on knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and reproductive health. The ideal candidate combines clinical knowledge with strong attention to detail, documentation, data collection, and research practices. Baguio City-based candidates are preferred, as initial training will be conducted face-to-face in Baguio City.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Research

Support the implementation of clinical research protocols and study procedures. Collect, review, document, and maintain accurate clinical research data. Ensure study-related records and documentation are complete and accurate. Assist with clinical assessments and research-related data collection. Follow study protocols, standard operating procedures, and applicable research requirements. Maintain patient and study information in accordance with confidentiality and privacy requirements. Support research documentation, data management, and study reporting. Identify and appropriately escalate data discrepancies, clinical concerns, or protocol-related issues. Coordinate with the research team and assigned supervisor regarding study activities. Apply principles of clinical research, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality. Maternal & Women's Health

Apply clinical knowledge and experience in: Prenatal care and monitoring of maternal and fetal health. Labor and delivery. Postnatal and newborn care. Reproductive health. Family planning and contraceptive counseling. Gynecological health and screening. Patient education and clinical documentation. Required Clinical Experience

• Applicants must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in maternal and women's health, including experience with: Cesarean Section (CS) Delivery
• Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)Normal Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (NSVD)Vacuum-assisted and/or Forceps Delivery

Candidates should also have practical experience in prenatal care, labor and delivery, postnatal care, and reproductive health.

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized Midwifery program or relevant healthcare program. Valid Philippine professional license/registration, where applicable. At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience. Clinical research experience or exposure to clinical research is preferred. Knowledge of clinical data collection, research documentation, trial procedures, and medical ethics. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Adobe software is an advantage. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Good analytical and critical-thinking abilities. This is a clinical research position, not a traditional hospital or birthing-center midwife role. Candidates must be comfortable performing research-related activities, following study protocols, documenting clinical data, and working in a research environment.
