Data Analyst | SQL | Python | ETL

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries and database solutions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources
• Design and implement ETL pipelines to automate data collection, cleaning, and integration processes
• Create and optimise Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
• Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets
• Build and maintain data models that support business requirements and analytical needs
• Generate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate data findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Monitor and optimise database performance and data pipeline efficiency
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to resolve discrepancies
• Document data processes, methodologies, and technical specifications for future reference

What we're looking for

• Proven proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, design schemas, and optimise database performance
• Strong programming experience in Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database structures
• Experience with data visualisation tools and business intelligence platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality standards, and best practices in database administration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), big data technologies, or additional programming languages
