Role Overview: As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in managing the financial records of our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian tax laws. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about numbers. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions for various clients. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage client invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely processing and accuracy. Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.BAS & IAS Preparation: Assist with the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS). Payroll Management: Process payroll, including superannuation, tax withholding, and other payroll-related tasks. Client Communication: Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies in their financial records. Compliance: Ensure all financial records are compliant with Australian tax regulations and standards. Software Management: Use accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and other tools to manage financial data efficiently. Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience within an Australian tax practice. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and MS Office. Experience with tax software and compliance reporting. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education: Diploma or Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping. Additional certifications in Xero or MYOB are a plus. What We Offer:A supportive and collaborative work environment.
