About the Project

Real Property Matters is looking for an experienced Web Developer to build the public-facing pages of our new company website. We already have a clear vision for the website, including the page structure, written content and overall design direction. We need a capable developer who can turn these concepts into a professional, responsive and high-performing website. The website will primarily be built using HTML and CSS, with limited JavaScript where required. This is initially a contract project, with the potential for ongoing development work for the right person. What You Will Be Doing

• Your responsibilities will include: Building the website’s public-facing pages from our supplied designs and content
• Accurately reproducing the intended layouts, colours, typography and spacing
• Creating clean, responsive pages that work properly across desktop, tablet and mobile devices
• Writing organised and maintainable HTML and CSSUsing JavaScript where required for menus, forms, sliders and other interactive features
• Optimising pages for speed, usability and search engines
• Testing the website across major browsers and devices
• Making revisions based on feedback during development
• Working with our existing IT support on integrations and internal website functionality
• Ensuring the completed website can be maintained and expanded in the future
• Our existing IT team will manage some of the internal functionality, including examples, and connections to our existing business systems. About You
• We are looking for someone who has: Strong professional experience developing business websites
• Excellent HTML and CSS skills
• Practical JavaScript experience
• Experience converting supplied designs or mock-ups into accurate webpages
• A strong understanding of responsive website development
• Good attention to visual details, spacing and consistency
• An understanding of website speed, accessibility and basic SEO requirements
• The ability to communicate clearly and provide regular progress updates
• A reliable approach to deadlines and agreed deliverables
• The confidence to identify potential issues and recommend practical solutions
• Examples of professional websites you have personally developed

Experience developing websites for Australian businesses, property companies, professional services firms or financial-services organisations would be advantageous. About Real Property Matters

This is a remote contract opportunity. The initial contract will cover the development and completion of the agreed public-facing website pages. The scope, milestones, timeframe and payment terms will be agreed before work begins. We have considerable additional development work planned and would like to establish an ongoing working relationship with the right developer. How to Apply
