IT Integration Specialist

Materials Solutions Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic IT Integration Specialist to support our technical operations in linking industrial Markem-Imaje printing equipment with client software databases, networks, and production control systems. This role is ideal for an ambitious fresh graduate looking to build a career in industrial IT, data integration, and smart manufacturing. You will focus on software communication logic, data handling, and network connectivity, working closely with our engineering team during field deployments across key manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Custom Scripting: Develop custom scripts and data handlers to facilitate real-time manufacturing data integration, dynamic code generation, and database interactions for printing systems. Network & Communication Protocols: Configure and troubleshoot basic TCP/IP networks, server-to-device connections, and industrial communication bridges (e.g., Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, or serial protocols). System Deployment & Setup: Assist with the software setup, IP addressing, database connections, and field commissioning of Markem-Imaje marking and coding systems. Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of software configurations, database connection parameters, and network setups for client installations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside automation engineers to bridge the gap between IT databases/networks and hardware PLCs on the factory floor. Candidate

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education: Graduate of a 3- or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Aptitude for Fresh Graduates: Open to fresh graduates who demonstrate a strong technical foundation through academic capstone projects, coding bootcamps, or relevant internship experience. Technical Skills

Programming Languages (Preferred): Experience or exposure to Python, VBA, C/C++, or SQL is strongly preferred. Networking & Protocols: Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, port management, and serial communications (RS232). Database Management: Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) for data retrieval and logging. Core Competencies
