About the role
HR Specialist
The role will manage recruitment requirements, support employee engagement initiatives, and assist in handling employee relations and disciplinary matters while ensuring proper documentation, due process, and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
The ideal candidate is organized, resilient, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of responsibilities, works well with different teams and personalities, and is willing to provide support across other HR functions and ad hoc requirements when needed.
This is a full-time, onsite position and requires daily onsite attendance.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Handle end-to-end recruitment, from sourcing and screening to job offer and onboarding.
- Source qualified candidates through job portals, social media, referrals, and other recruitment channels.
- Conduct initial interviews and coordinate succeeding interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and provide regular updates on hiring requirements.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements and onboarding of new employees.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future manpower requirements.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and priorities.
Labor & Employee Relations
- Assist in handling employee relations concerns, disciplinary cases, and workplace issues.
- Prepare and facilitate Notices to Explain (NTE), administrative hearings/conferences, disciplinary actions, and related documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and observance of due process in employee disciplinary cases.
- Assist in addressing employee grievances and workplace conflicts.
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding company policies and HR procedures.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and applicable labor standards.
- Maintain complete and confidential records of employee relations and disciplinary cases.
- Assist in DOLE-related documentation, compliance requirements, and labor-related concerns when necessary.
- Coordinate with HR management on sensitive or complex employee relations cases.
Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, company events, and HR programs.
- Develop initiatives that encourage employee participation, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.
- Assist in employee surveys and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Support town halls, company celebrations, recognition programs, and other organizational activities.
- Coordinate employee communications and HR announcements.
HR Operations & Ad Hoc Responsibilities
- Provide support in onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and other HR processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records.
- Support other HR team members during peak periods and urgent requirements.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Preferably with experience in Recruitment, Employee/Labor Relations, and Employee Engagement.
- Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, due process, and disciplinary procedures is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal, coordination, and conflict-management skills.
- Organized and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Resilient, patient, and able to handle pressure and challenging employee situations professionally.
- Strong team player who is willing to support the team beyond their primary responsibilities.
- Proactive, resourceful, and willing to learn.
- Strong sense of accountability, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Willing to work onsite every day.
