Editor-in-Chief

The role involves attending and covering events in the Village, developing and executing editorial strategies to increase readership and generate leads, monitoring media for news trends relevant to the Village and Association, maintaining and enhancing the official AAVA website, and managing social media accounts while serving as a spokesperson for the community. Key responsibilities

• Acts as the Editor-in-Chief of the AAVA News
• Attends and covers events in the Village and writes up and proofreading

Develop, manage, and execute editorial strategies within all editorial content to increase readership and help generate leads/adsMonitors the media for latest news trends, trending stories and content relevant to the Village and the Association

• Maintains, updates and proposes enhancement of the official AAVA website
• Handles social media accounts of AAVA including attending to residents' queries and comments by responding in a professional manner
• Effectively disseminate and communicate information, mission, and goals of AAVA to the public
• Prepares responses on issues raised by residents
• Acts as a spokesperson or representative of AAVA on issues pertaining to the Community
• Attends forums and meetings with residents and key people

About you

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Advertising/Media, or any related course
• At least two (2) years of working experience in the related field
• Skills in lay outing, proofreading, photography, writing news releases, editorial opinions, newsletters
• Proficient in MS Publisher, Adobe Photoshop and other related software applications
• Outstanding customer-focused attitude and approach
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, self-starter, creative and has the ability to deal well with all levels in the organization and community
• Willing to work in Ayala Alabang Village
• Work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
