Role Summary

The Senior Image Retoucher & Digital Asset Producer is responsible for transforming raw ecommerce, product, campaign, and lifestyle photography into finished, colour-accurate, on-brand imagery. The role also manages the production and delivery of channel-specific digital assets for ecommerce, marketplace, wholesale, social media, and marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will be an experienced senior retoucher with strong expertise in fashion and apparel imagery, particularly fabric, colour, skin, and product retouching, combined with excellent file management, organisation, attention to detail, and deadline management.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce and Lifestyle Retouching

Retouch ecommerce product photography from monthly studio shoots across sleepwear, loungewear, bralettes, robes, silk, bedding, and other product ranges. Retouch campaign and lifestyle photography, including seasonal campaigns and stylised studio shoots. Deliver fabric-accurate results across silk, modal, cotton, lace, and knits. Correct garment drape, remove creasing, pins, clips, and steaming marks, repair seams and hems, and clean backgrounds while maintaining natural fabric texture. Perform natural skin, hair, and body retouching on model imagery according to brand standards. Colour-match images to physical samples and approved colourways while maintaining consistency across styles and shoots. Retouch user-generated and influencer content, including background clean-ups, removal of cables, props and clutter, and cropping for different platforms. Use generative AI tools where appropriate to support asset production without altering important product details. Channel and Marketplace Asset Production

Produce finished asset packs according to required crop ratios, pixel dimensions, backgrounds, file types, compression, colour profiles, and naming conventions. Prepare digital assets for ecommerce websites, marketplaces, and department store partners. Web-size and export imagery for site uploads, including hero, carousel, swatch, and mobile crops. Adapt approved campaign imagery into EDM, social media, banner, and paid media formats. Correct and resubmit rejected assets promptly according to partner specifications. Ensure all assets are completed according to ecommerce, marketplace, and campaign deadlines. Wholesale and Partner Imagery

Prepare monthly imagery packages for wholesale and boutique accounts. Retouch, resize, organise, and package required product imagery into clearly structured shared folders. Respond to ad-hoc imagery requests within agreed turnaround times. Check all asset packs against requested style lists before release. Ensure all required files are complete and correctly formatted before delivery. Asset Library, Delivery and Version Control

Maintain an organised shared image library in Google Drive. Follow consistent file naming conventions based on style code, style name, colourway, season, and channel. Archive raw captures, working files, and approved master assets for future use. Maintain clear records of assets that are in progress, delivered, blocked, or awaiting approval. Ensure outdated and superseded assets are properly retired. Provide delivery links with clear written summaries of included assets. Planning and Reporting

Manage retouching and asset production according to established shoot

s, production calendars, and deadlines. Monitor upcoming shoot dates, retouching windows, marketplace deadlines, and asset delivery dates. Attend regular Marketing and Marketplace production meetings. Proactively identify and communicate potential delays before deadlines are affected. Submit a weekly work report covering completed images, work in progress, hours applied, blocked tasks, and items awaiting approval. Maintain and improve retouching guidelines and channel specification documents.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of professional retouching experience, with significant experience in fashion, apparel, lingerie, sleepwear, or similar industries. Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including frequency separation, dodge and burn, advanced masking and selections, liquify, content-aware tools, generative fill, smart objects, actions, and batch processing. Strong experience with Adobe Lightroom and/or Capture One for raw processing, batch colour correction, and export presets. Strong knowledge of colour management and the ability to accurately match digital imagery to physical garments. Proven experience with ghost mannequin/invisible mannequin and flat-lay compositing. Experience producing assets according to third-party marketplace or department store specifications. Strong file and folder management skills with experience maintaining shared asset libraries. Fluent written and spoken English. Strong attention to detail, organisation, and deadline management. Preferred Skills

Experience using generative AI imaging tools for commercial image production. Basic video and motion cropping skills for social media formats. Familiarity with Shopify product media requirements. Experience working directly with photographers and art directors on shoot preparation and image selection. Work Setup and

Must have a calibrated, colour-accurate monitor. Must have stable high-speed internet. Must have a quiet and reliable home working environment.
