About the role
Purpose of the role
This is a marketing leadership role. It leads on strategy, on ideas, on execution and on delivery, and it is accountable for all four. The Head of Digital Marketing & Media Performance leads the organization’s digital marketing function: its media strategy, its agency partnership, its content programme and its measurement. The role carries accountability for building digital presence over the long term and for the volume and quality of leads generated through digital channels. The holder sets the media direction and defends it to management, originates the ideas the brand is built on, leads planning and vets the buying, and maintains the independent measurement that allows the organization to judge the return on its marketing investment. Strategy and delivery sit in the same hands. Key accountabilities

Develops the content strategy and the themed content calendar, issued in advance of each period. Authors campaign and creative briefs that establish the proposition, the consumer insight and the creative direction, and evaluates the work produced against them. Governs lead times end to end, scheduling production backwards from campaign break dates to protect both delivery and creative freshness. Measurement and analysis
Maintains the organizations’ own instrumentation: tracking parameters across all live assets, dashboards for web and social platforms, and a single authoritative view of cost per lead and cost per acquisition. Conducts independent analysis of campaign performance and evaluates agency recommendations against it. Owns the marketing scorecard, working with the data analyst, and conducts root cause analysis where performance diverges from plan.
