We are seeking a meticulous Functional Tester with strong experience in data testing to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will validate software applications against business requirements, ensure data integrity across systems, and identify issues before release. This role requires expertise in testing data flows, transformations, and integrations, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Testing: Develop, execute, and document test cases based on functional and data-related requirements. Data Validation: Verify accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across databases, APIs, and ETL pipelines. Requirement Analysis: Review user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers and data engineers to resolve issues. Regression Testing: Perform regression tests to ensure new features or data changes do not impact existing functionality. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with organizational standards, data governance policies, and industry regulations. Reporting: Provide clear and concise test results, metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Functional Tester or QA Analyst with a focus on data testing. Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation. Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps). Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with ETL testing and data warehouse validation. Knowledge of big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery). Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, Soap

UI). Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) for functional coverage. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
