Virtual Referral Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and Experienced Virtual Medical Assistant to support a busy clinic in the United States within the Referral Department. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and expert in handling medical referrals and insurance processes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Virtual Referral Coordinator (WORK FROM HOME). The role involves verifying insurance details, coordinating referrals, managing communication between healthcare providers and patients, and ensuring documentation are handled accurately. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Process and manage insurance referrals from initiation to completion. Other responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, maintaining professional phone etiquette, and streamlining the referral process to enhance efficiency and patient experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working in a referral department
• Strong knowledge of HMO and PPO insurance plans
• Proven experience handling insurance referrals (start to finish)
• Proficiency in Insurance Verification and understanding of Medical Terminology
• Strong Communication and Phone Etiquette skills
• Dedication to providing exceptional Customer Service
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently in a remote environment
